Outreach Adviser

Citizens Advice helps people resolve their legal, money and other problems by providing free, independent, confidential advice, and by influencing policymakers. We have an opportunity for an Outreach Adviser to join our existing team which provides an excellent generalist advice service for clients.

Post: Outreach Adviser
Hours: 18 per week
Salary: £23,590 pa, pro rata
Contract: Permanent
Based at: Ilkeston

This 18 hour post is to provide face to face generalist advice from a number of outreach locations across Amber Valley and Erewash. The post will include travel around the localities. The ideal candidate will be an experienced adviser with excellent generalist advice skills. A good understanding of the welfare benefits system along with an understanding of welfare reform will be essential. You will be required to work independently in an outreach setting. Good communications skills, both written and verbal are essential in the role, as is the ability to effectively communicate with our clients with a non-judgemental approach.
