They are currently going through a large period of growth and have a vacancy for a Relief Support Worker. 

Position: Relief Support Worker 
Location: The Grapevine Centre, Exeter, Devon (Commutable from Exmouth, Newton Abbot, Crediton, Sidmouth, Tiverton and surrounding areas) 
Job type: Relief Worker Contracts (Zero Hours Contracts), Permanent 
Hours: Variable shifts as and when required ranging from days, nights, weekends and evenings 
Salary: £10.22 per hour

About the role: 

Grapevine is primarily a young person, mother and baby supported housing unit, we work with our young people through structured support to develop independent living skills and encourage each individual to be the best they can be during their time at Grapevine. 

The Relief Support Worker will deliver highly skilled outcome driven support based on a comprehensive understanding of the legislative, bureaucratic and policy frameworks that affect the lives of vulnerable young people, particularly those faced with the risk of homelessness. 

You will manage and support a diverse, complex and at times challenging caseload evidencing the delivery of meaningful, significant and tangible improvements in the lives of vulnerable young people and how they are preventing their long-term homelessness. 

About you: 

You will be patient and understanding, caring and motivated. The Successful candidate will have experience of dealing directly with the public and / or clients or customers in a busy service environment. You will also need the ability to use IT applications and have good keyboard skills.

You will be flexible in your approach understanding that you need to meet the needs of the individual, there may be times where you will be expected to work outside of this and also take part in an on-call rota alongside other staff members.
