Choices is an exciting new employment programme in Allerdale & Copeland funded by the Big Lottery and European Social Fund until September 2019 with potential extension. Working in partnership with 8 voluntary and community sector delivery partners who are specialists in employment, financial and digital inclusion and volunteering, Choices will support 450 long term unemployed people into or towards employment.

Job title: Key Worker
Salary: Circa £22,000 per annum
Hours: Full time 37 hours per week
Location: Workington

A bit about you

As a Key Worker you will provide 1:1 support to people who are long term unemployed to help them move towards and access training and employment. By providing intensive support and advice you will help each participant develop a tailored action plan and identify how this can be best met through existing services and/or via Choice’s health, financial and digital inclusion services.

You will work closely with participants and support them through every stage of their journey, enabling participants to address their barriers and realise their aspirations. You will experience of working in the welfare to work sector and have good knowledge of Allerdale & Copeland and the voluntary and community sector.

You will have excellent interpersonal skills, people and communication skills. Experience of undertaking caseload management on employability programmes is essential, and a track record in delivering targets.
