Job title: Employment Advisor
Salary: £22,000 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week
Reporting to: Performance Lead
Location: Carlisle

A bit about you

You will engage them in activity designed to encourage their personal development and support them to find sustainable employment. You will organise work managing a caseload of participants, identifying with them appropriate goals and interventions to support their journey into work.

You will work closely with the local community and employers, supporting referrals onto the programme and identifying employment opportunities. You will enable participants to develop valuable work based skills and gain knowledge. You will be well organised and plan your time effectively, work on your own initiative and also with others.

Your role will require you to be supportive and understanding, be able to deal with any issues that may arise confidently. You will have strong interpersonal skills and be able to adapt them pending on what you are dealing with, communicating at different levels as key in this role.

Being able to drive and have access to a car would be beneficial.
