The Velindre NHS Trust Charity is the Trust’s official charity. It supports the Trust’s provision of world class research-led treatment, care and support for patients and families affected by cancer and those who are involved in the donation of blood products.
A unique opportunity has arisen for a Charity Director who will use passion and emotional intelligence to lead the Velindre NHS Trust Charity in achieving its vision and reach its full potential.
Building from a strong base the Charity Director will continue to evolve the profile, income and brand presence.
We are looking for a decisive and performance oriented leader who can develop and deliver an ambitious and achievable Charity Strategy.
With significant experience of leading a charity at the senior level, the Charity Director must have well developed ambassadorial and communication skills to inspire confidence, influence and engage credibly with key stakeholders.
The Charity Director will also keep us focused on continuous improvement and ensure our Charity remains operationally efficient, effective, and sustainable. The ability to innovate and horizon scan, and to grow and nurture our talented staff and volunteers is also an essential part of the role.
A passion to provide outstanding patient / donor care must underpin your approach, and high levels of energy, stamina and ambition are essential.
