Relief Support Worker (Community Support / Supported Housing)

They are currently going through a large period of growth and have a vacancy for an occasional use Relief Community Support Worker. 

Position: Relief Community Support Worker
Location: Exeter – Spread across 4 locations
Hours: Variable including weekdays, weekends, evenings and bank holidays
Salary: £10.22 per hour

About the role: 

The Relief Community Support worker will assist with, or be solely responsible for, the day-to-day running of four Shilhay Community Supported Housing Projects, and the ongoing support of all residents. This role is to cover the staff rota for annual leave, and may include weekend working. 

Responsibilities: 

- Support residents to safely maintain their accommodation, whilst encouraging residents to live as independently as possible, and in contributing to the management of their accommodation. 
- Actively and positively engage with residents, in order to support or enable residents through life or social skills advice or practical assistanc 
- Manage safely and effectively any challenging behaviour 
- Liaise with colleagues or lead on support, risk, health or housing needs, and/or in co-ordinating internal support and external involvement in response to these 
- Maintain the security and integrity of the projects at all times 
- Llead or assist with housekeeping tasks as required 

About you: 

They are looking for an experienced individual that can work either as part of a team or as a lone worker within homelessness & abstinent recovery related supported housing locations in Exeter. 

A Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Certificate will be required for these roles.
