The post is full-time permanent role.

We’re looking for a motivated, systems-focused, organised individual to join the Bodleian Library’s Development team as the Membership Officer for the Friends of the Bodleian. You will be responsible for administering, managing and developing the Friends scheme, which makes a vital contribution to the Library each year for the acquisition of new books and manuscripts.

Strong administrative and organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to both multi-task and follow a process from start to finish will be pivotal to your success. With good numeracy and interpersonal skills, you will play a key role in a busy team, working on a varied programme from ensuring smooth membership processes to devising communications and supporting Friends events. Experience of CRM systems and Microsoft Office are vital. Experience of other Membership schemes and processes would be an advantage.

The role requires you to act on your own initiative as well as work closely with a range of volunteers, Development Office and Library staff. This is a special opportunity to join the Library and Development Office, and to play a leading role in developing the Friends of the Bodleian membership programme.
