Profile
Essential
- Previous experience working in a press team environment and working with national media
- Proven experience of producing high quality communications for media contacts and external stakeholders
- Confident communicator with excellent writing and interpersonal skills
- Excellent journalistic skills - proactively identifying, developing and pitching stories and features to secure and widespread media coverage
- Creative approach with a proactive attitude to finding and telling compelling stories
- Strong networking and relationship building skills with ability to engage with journalists and internal and external stakeholders of all levels
- Excellent organisational and planning skills and ability to work in a high pressure environment
- Self-motivated and ability to use initiative, but also a strong team player

- Previous experience working within the charity sector
