A large charity are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to provide Business Analysis and Project Management across the Fundraising directorate, and the wider organisation. The Team will work on core, strategic projects delivering value to the organisation that ultimately maximise engagement with, and support from, donors, volunteers and advocates of the charity.

The post will work closely with the Head of Marketing CRM and Insight and Project and Business Analysis Manager to gather and articulate requirements for business improvement initiatives. The role requires a proactive and ambitious individual to lead on and manage various aspects of projects with data and insight as their focus, supporting the creation, management and enhancement of business processes across the Fundraising directorate, and beyond.

With an extensive background in the application of business analysis techniques, tools and frameworks, the Senior Business Analyst will be pivotal in embedding a structured, considered approach to how strategic projects and larger pieces of work are managed to successful completion.

Key Responsibilities:
-Work as part of the Business Intelligence and Analytics team to lead on the delivery of multiple projects with a primary focus on the provision of business analysis at a mature level
-Responsible for documenting the business functions, processes, information flows and data structures, particularly regarding the data warehouse, with a moderate to advanced level of technical appreciation/ understanding
-Interrogate data to guide and inform business decisions, with the skill to drive an insight, data led approach to key decision making at the charity
-Assist technical leads with data mapping across systems, and help to embed a more structured approach with data governance at the heart of technical documentation
-Provide initial quality assurance on any developments or solutions
-Proactively use and embed business analysis methodologies as well as working with other staff to review business analysis/ project management processes and incorporate sector standards as needed to facilitate continuous improvement
-Responsible for gathering, defining and documenting requirements through appropriate methods (i.e. Agile), including workshops, and interviews. Utilise user insight and performance data to drive service re-design
-Engage with stakeholders and work between stakeholders and the team to ensure solution meets business need
-Ensure business objectives are consistently referred to, and the focus is primarily from a supporter perspective
-Work with the business to specify and develop agreed acceptance criteria for improved processes
-Responsible for managing test processes, documenting outcome of testing and work with technical staff/third party suppliers to resolve issues
-Define testing plans appropriate to the development, together with technical and business leads.
-Develop and deliver quality user guides, as well as high and low level architectural documentation, plan and deliver training sessions as needed
-Manage small-scale projects in their entirety, or manage substantial work stream(s) of wider organisational programmes, seeking support from other members of the team as required

Skills and Experience required:
-Previous experience as a business analyst in a similar environment
-Experience of capturing business requirements and being able to create technical and data briefs as a result
-Understanding and experience working in an agile environment
-Experience of developing and managing relationships with key stakeholders
-Experience of using CRM databases and data warehouses, preferably with a fundraising focus
-Experience of launching and managing largescale, complex projects to completion
-Exceptional written and oral communication skills and attention to detail with the ability to communicate technical information to a broad range of audiences
-Ability to engage positively with a range of stakeholders from senior management to system users; to technical colleagues and external suppliers
-Analytical skills and proven ability to think critically
