Prospectus are proud to be partnering with Citizens Advice to recruit their new Area Manager for their Witness Service in London, providing tailored support to a variety of witnesses, both in the court and on an outreach basis.

As Area Manager, you will oversee the delivery of the Witness Service within London, managing a team of Team Leaders who coordinate the volunteer-based support given to witnesses both inside court and within outreach venues. You will have responsibility for the performance of all service delivery staff within your defined area against regional and national plans, monitoring the quality of support given to witnesses and responding to service needs. You will work closely with other agencies, developing links and networks across the statutory and voluntary sector, to provide a range of services to meet the needs of witnesses of crime.

To apply for this role you must have significant experience of overseeing dispersed teams within a busy service, and of implementing strategic changes and new cultures of working within a defined framework. You must have demonstrable experience of monitoring and maintaining performance against agreed targets, identifying opportunities for improvements, and working in partnership with a variety of organisations. An understanding of the criminal justice system, specifically the journey of a witness through the court process, would be desirable. Overall, you will be a strong, positive, enthusiastic leader, passionate about ensuring high quality services for vulnerable people.
