Head of Finance

As Head of Finance you will be supporting the Chief Executive and working closely with the senior management team to support in developing business planning and financial strategies for the charity. The post holder will play a key role in implementing accurate accounting and reporting and shaping financial controls. Responsibilities will include managing the day-to-day financial and accounting activities, reviewing and strengthening processes, and thinking creatively to propose and implement improvements to the charity's finance administration. Importantly the post holder will have primary focus on ensuring all financial management is effective and given strategic importance in planning and supporting the delivery of charity strategy.

We are looking for a collaborative and strategic finance leader with experience of leading a small and successful finance function and extensive experience of charity SORP accounting including restricted funds, charity tax and Gift Aid within the charity sector. A qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA , ACA) with relevant post qualification experience, you will bring excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities alongside outstanding communication and relationship building skills.

Critically, you will demonstrate collaborative behaviours to influence and support a range of stakeholders at all levels and have significant experience in managing and developing appropriate financial strategies, business planning and operational implementation ensuring the sustainability and impact of the charity on a long-term basis.
