Business System Manager (Oracle technology) (full time)
Salary: £45,800 gross per annum + benefits
Sea Cadets is one of the leading youth development charities in the UK, helping to launch thousands of young people for life today. Why not join our team and make your contribution to their lives?
At Sea Cadets we are passionate about the future of the young people we support. We are also passionate about the future of our systems to enable us to maximise our impact for our beneficiaries. We are all about growth and development.
We have an in-house developed Oracle RDB based management information system along with BI tools which we call Westminster, which we built in partnership with the Army Cadets and which provides a complete, one-stop volunteer and cadet management and administration system for some 100,000 young people and 20,000 volunteers.
We now require a talented individual to take over the management and development of our system for the Sea Cadets in this role known internally as Head of Westminster. You will need the ability to work well with our volunteers and staff, and at the same time oversee and work with the technology and the ISM developer team.
We manage and develop our software using Agile methodology and share our platform with other youth organisations so you will need to enjoy teamwork, cooperation and influencing. Bring your project management skills too!
We can offer you an exciting position, with a really friendly team headed up by knowledgeable and experienced senior management.
We are looking for a talented individual who has successfully managed IT change, software development and internal customer relationships to achieve demonstrable and beneficial systems improvements that have taken organisations to the next level.
We are inclusive, fully committed to diversity, and so encourage participants for all backgrounds.

For the Sea Cadets, this means: inspiring and supporting the next generations through nautical adventure so they can realise their potential and grab a better future.
For the Marine Society, this means: Enabling seafarers with the right tools to get to where they want to be through learning and self development.
