Outdoor Recreation Manager / Project Manager (Sports Services)

Position: Outdoor Recreation Manager
Location: Braunstone Leisure Centre, Leicester, Leicestershire
Job type: Full Time, 12 Months Fixed Term
Hours: 37 hours per week
Salary: £34,106 to £37,107 per annum

About the role:
Our client's Sports Services are recruiting to post that will take a lead role in transforming the Council’s Outdoor Sport and Leisure Provision. This is an exciting time with a new City Sport and Physical Activity Strategy being developed with partners and a new-found confidence and belief that they have in place the agenda and the foundations to commence and deliver an exciting vision and service transformation.
The role will ensure that the outdoor sports offer provides excellent opportunities for customers, clubs and user groups and that they play a key role in delivering their long-term ambition to close the health inequality gap, reduce inactivity and increase participation across the city.
About you:
The successful candidate will have significant experience of managing or developing outdoor sports provision / effective partnership management and delivery. You will have the ability and experience to secure support from partner organisations and voluntary community clubs and associations in developing sustainable plans for sport/outdoor provision. You will also have a track record and experience of coordinating and delivering
successful project outcomes linked to asset transfer, lease arrangement, sports club infrastructure development.
Additionally, you will have experience of playing pitch strategy implementation and working internally and externally to achieve strategic outcomes. A track record in engaging volunteers to help deliver and sustain projects is also essential.
You may have experience of the following: Outdoor Recreation Manager, Recreation Manager, Project Manager, Project Management, Programme Manager, Programme Management, Operations Manager, Leisure Recreation Manager, Sports Services Manager, etc.
