Our client puts people affected by MS at the centre of everything they do, and it’s this commitment that unites them across the UK. Their vision is a world free from the effects of MS.

Their ultimate goal is to find a cure, but until then, they will do all that they can to enable people with MS to live life, knowing that they do not have to face MS alone.

This is an exciting time for L&D in this organisation, having made great progress they now need to build on that and deliver their new strategy. Their People Directorate is looking to engage a Learning and Development professional to deliver that strategy, support organisational development activity and deliver the annual plan.

The main focus being to:

  • Provide internal L&D consultancy
  • Implement their new L&D strategy which is based on the 70/20/10 model
  • Lead and/or support organisational development initiatives, specifically those around GDPR, Digital Transformation, project management and the roll out of SharePoint
  • Deliver the annual plan
  • Work with L&D (Volunteering) Manager to build capacity for e-learning and other digital innovation in L&D

The L&D interim will also be asked to cover the following ‘business as usual activity:

  • Liaise with externally contracted training providers
  • Manage the L&D budget
  • Oversee L&D administration
  • Manage external course and professional qualification requests
  • Analyse L&D requests from PDR process and plan response
  • Oversee/review regular compliance training reports and organise appropriate action
  • Support the employee L&D group
  • Support internal coaching network
  • Support their leadership development programme

To fulfil these requirements they need someone with demonstrable understanding of learning and development including models and practice; a solid background of experience of applying this knowledge through a consultancy approach, ideally (but not necessarily solely) within the not-for-profit sector; strong understanding of OD and how L&D can be applied to support organisational development programmes; able to facilitate team development.
