Shaw Trust is one of the largest charities in the UK, helping to transform the lives of one million young people and adults each year by 2022. The Group includes Shaw Trust, Prospects, Ixion and Shaw Education Trust. Our 3,500 staff and 1,400 volunteers work across the UK and internationally, supporting people to develop their potential and live independently.

We have an opportunity for an experienced researcher and developer to join us and work closely with Business Development Partners to research, identify and develop future business opportunities.

You will research market opportunities that have not yet moved to the commissioning stage, and complete market and competitor analyses for current and future business growth areas. You will also support operational leads to take innovative ideas and turn them into commercially viable models, and work alongside bid writers to develop and provide detailed delivery models and content for bids.

With relevant experience in a research and development environment and demonstrable knowledge of the products and services currently being used in the markets of the Shaw Trust Group, you will have a proven ability to research and analyse data, and design, develop and deliver effective products and service delivery models.  Our work focuses on seven areas: employability; learning and skills; justice; children’s services; education, charitable services and enterprise; and community health and wellbeing. First class communication and presentation skills are essential, along with an understanding of accessibility issues for adults and young people with disabilities, health problems or other disadvantages. Our specialist services help people gain an education, enter work, develop their career, improve their wellbeing or rebuild their lives.

The Trust offers excellent benefits and development opportunities.
