Can you help University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire Charity raise vital funds across Coventry and Warwickshire?

We are searching for an ambitious and proactive Community and Events Fundraiser looking for a fresh challenge and able to support our exciting programme of growth over the next few years so that we can help more patients, their families and our staff to benefit from our funds.

Reporting to the Head of Charity, the post holder will play a key role in the development and implementation of our fundraising strategy to increase funds for the vital work of our hospitals and our community services.

This is an exciting time to join our small but focused team with ample opportunities to make your mark and lead on raising funds with local supporters across Coventry and Warwickshire for our high profile projects and campaigns.

If you have a passion and skill for supporting donors and volunteers, this is an exciting opportunity for you to build on your fundraising and volunteer management experience, and truly make your mark in this rapidly expanding charity.

Due to the large geographical area covered by this role, the successful applicant will need to be able to travel independently throughout the area.

About you:

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person who has experience of working with donors and volunteers. This is a key role for UHCW Charity and the right candidate will work with hospital staff, patients and their families to raise vital funds. You will have ideally worked within a similar role and can demonstrate the ability to deal sensitively with emotional situations.

You will need to be an excellent communicator, confident in contacting supporters over the telephone as well as meeting them face to face. As our Community Fundraiser, you will regularly give talks and presentations to various groups and local organisations. You will need to demonstrate your ability to work well on your own initiative as well as be a real team player. This is a busy and demanding role often with conflicting deadlines so the ability to prioritise your workloads and have an organised, methodical approach is essential.

You will have experience of recruiting, managing and working with volunteers to deliver organisational objectives as well as a proven track record in achieving financial and non-financial targets and a good working knowledge of budgets is essential.

The successful candidate will benefit from working in a dynamic and well-supported team which is going through a key period of growth and investment in resources and facilities.

Part-time/Job share considered for the right applicant(s).

If you feel that you can make a real difference to our patients and their families, please send us your CV and supporting statement, showing how you meet the Person Specification and Job Description.
