Position – 2 X Helpline Information Officer
Location – NW London
Department – Services and Support
Salary – Band E, Level 1 (£28,929 - £33,332), plus excellent benefits
Contract - Fixed Term for 9 – 12 Months
Hours – Usual hours are between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week. On occasion and as service demands, you may be required to work until 7pm or at weekends
About this job
Proven experience working on a national helpline would be beneficial. Reporting to the Senior Helpline Information Officer you will use information from relevant, reliable, evidence-based sources - including medical journals, publications and websites - to provide high quality responses to people affected by MS.
As a Helpline Information Officer you will need to assess the information needs of enquirers, provide appropriate information, use relevant signposting, provide emotional support and, if necessary, refer to professionals, other organisations or other staff.
You will create accurate and timely records of enquiries using the software provided by the charity. You will be joining the organisation at an exciting stage of its development and this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a supportive and friendly team.
