Job Details

A great opportunity has arisen for a temporary Senior Relationship Manager for a health related charity based in London in order to proactively manage relationships across three key streams, the Speaker Network, Celebrities/Patrons and Supporters and their real life stories, in order to generate a comprehensive outreach program of events, engagement opportunities and content, that will raise the profile of the charity and eye research as a whole.

Key Responsibilities will include:

Cultivate strong relationships with our research community and Speaker Network members
Identify and prioritise the best speaking opportunities in the UK and potentially abroad, to help raise the charity profile to agreed audience groups.
Ensure each speaker is equipped appropriately with key messages, branding, social media tools, so that each speaker opportunity has content that is fit for purpose.
Managing training and development opportunities for our top speakers, pitching/presenting and facilitating workshops.
Develop and deliver the monthly email and schedule for the Speaker Network and deliver a minimum of one blog per month for our website. Manage the Speaker networks web pages and ensure regular stories and content are updated tin order to keep the pages fresh and relevant.
Conduct a full review of previous speaking events, agree priorities and deliver events.
Work closely with Policy, Research, Corporate, Community and Events Managers to ensure opportunities are identified and leveraged
Cultivate existing relationships and develop an engagement plan for involvement and collaboration that will raise the profile of the charity.
Cultivate a pipeline to develop new celebrities/patrons in order to help us raise awareness and generate reach.
Work closely with the PR Manager, Policy manager, Events and Community Manager and Head of Fundraising to design opportunities for celebrity endorsement and involvement.
Develop a digital strategy to reach out and engage with celebrity follower audiences and gain the benefit of their reach and awareness.
To develop a range of media opportunities where celebrity/patrons can be called upon on to be our spokesperson.
To develop a series of events and opportunities where our supporters can be given speaking opportunities.
Ensure that wherever possible we enable our supporters to be seen as the voice of Fight for Sight and champions of eye medical research.



In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:

Previous experience of managing high profile and public facing relationships
Proven ability of managing multiple streams of works and programme management.
Experience of event management
A fantastic relationship builder with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple relationships.
Experience of managing patrons and VIP s
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Strong digital and social media capabilities
Ability to identify opportunities and linkages to strategic aims.
An understanding of how to contribute to teamwork and manage cross- organisational working relationships.
Passion and enthusiasm for the charitable sector.
Outgoing, confident, friendly and professional.
Goal orientated.
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
