Job Details
A great opportunity has arisen for a temporary Internal Communications Officer for a homeless charity based in London in order to coordinate the production of key publications and related information in an engaging and relevant way, communicating key organisational messages and information to internal stakeholders and ensuring an organised, proactive and a robust approach to the flow of organisational information.
Key Responsibilities will include:
To contribute towards the implementation and monitoring of the internal communications strategy in line with the five year organisational strategy.
To coordinate the planning, delivery and performance of a programme of internal communications to maximise the flow of information to internal stakeholders.
To develop and produce published written material, and create other relevant tools, to communicate information to internal stakeholders.
To work with the Head of Communications to provide an expert internal communications advice and support service to teams and colleagues across the organisation.
project manage the intranet including maintaining editorial responsibility for consistent content, training site editors etc. To support the Internal Communications Manager with the development of new intranet options.
To help coordinate the organisation, delivery and promotion of internal events such as annual staff conferences, roadshows and more.
To ensure that the organisation operates time and cost effective systems for sharing communications, monitoring and improving these when necessary.
In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:
Experience of working in a marketing, publicity or communications environment
Experience writing for, updating and editing an intranet and/or website and producing a mix of offline and online communication materials
Experience of working as part of a team developing good working relationships across organisational teams
Experience of successfully managing competing priorities
Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
Good level of skill in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and some Design packages (eg Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign)
Good ability to interpret and communicate data according to the needs of the audience
Able to work on own initiative
