Are you driven by social purpose, reliable and motivated, with strong organisational and financial skills? Do you have excellent communication and business skills and the ability to inspire and motivate others? Would you like to work with a dynamic and growing charity? If so, we want to work with you! StreetDoctors is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Partnership Manager to join our team.

About StreetDoctors:

StreetDoctors is a small but ambitious charity committed to making a difference to the lives of young people at risk of serious violence. Our dedicated network of nearly 400 medical volunteers teach young people what to do when someone is bleeding or unconscious. We challenge attitudes to violence and support young people to make positive choices. We currently have 18 teams delivering our training in 20 different locations across England (4 in London). You will join the team at an exciting time for StreetDoctors as we launch our new Strategic Plan 2018 – 2022 and embark on plans to grow our reach and impact substantially over the next four years. This will mean extending our volunteer cohort to include nurses, paramedics and other healthcare workers and adapting our current delivery model, whilst maintaining our focus on being a social movement influenced and led by young medical volunteers.

Candidate Profile:

You will be confident and articulate with a strong business sense, comfortable in presenting to a wide range of stakeholders, and able to negotiate long lasting delivery partnerships. You will be practical and focused, able to turn strategy into action and willing to do what it takes to get a job done. You will be passionate about volunteering and social action, able to build strong relationships with StreetDoctors’ volunteers mentoring and supporting them to increase delivery sessions in their local area. You will demonstrate a genuine commitment to the organisation’s growth and success and for StreetDoctors’ unique mission. This is your chance to make a real difference to thousands of young people’s lives across the UK and beyond.

About the Role

The Partnerships Manager is a new role within our small central support team. You will lead on cultivating and maintaining relationships with delivery partners building strong local and regional partnerships. This will include developing strategic partnerships with key players across the youth justice, community, third and public sectors. You will lead on the move towards a fuller cost recovery model so that local teams are locally resourced and supported to increase their delivery to young people at risk, including mentoring and supporting key volunteer roles within the local team. Working closely with other members of the central team you will build the partnerships necessary to support the planned expansion of our volunteer cohort to other medical healthcare professions.
