We are working in partnership with NAM Aidsmap, a fantastic charity which is working to change lives by sharing information about HIV and AIDS.
NAM believes that, wherever you are in the world, having independent, clear and accurate information is vital in the fight against HIV and AIDS. The right information enables individuals and communities affected by HIV to protect themselves, care for others, advocate for better services and challenge stigma and discrimination.
NAM’s information services are supported by a range of funders, primarily corporate pharmaceuticals, but also individuals, trusts and foundations, companies, international agencies and government. The charity is seeking an experienced and proactive Fundraising Manager, with strong funding application writing skills, to support their ambitious strategy to increase the reach and impact of their information resources.
In order to succeed in this role, you will be able to demonstrate:
- A proven track record securing five and six-figure gifts from corporates and / or trusts and foundations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrable experience in developing funding proposals with the ability to think creatively
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Strong numeracy skills, including the ability to plan and manage budgets
- Excellent attention to detail and a meticulous approach
- Enthusiasm, energy and passion for the role
You will be self-motivated and highly organised with the ability to time manage, handle changing priorities and to work to tight deadlines. Proactive and results driven, you will have the ability to identify and develop new opportunities, to think laterally and see connections, and to write exceptional and compelling funding applications.
This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person. To apply please submit your CV and supporting statement as soon as possible to info@charismarecruitment.co.uk quoting our reference JO1572.

Some feedback from a candidate we have successfully placed:
“Now I have been in my new post for a week, I feel I must write to you to commend you on both the recruitment process I have just undergone and the personal support I have received. I could not have expected a better experience of a recruitment process - and even had I not been appointed I would have written in the same vein. I can understand why Charisma was recommended to me by a friend and I will certainly do the same in the future.”
