Support Worker
Salary: £17,700.80 per annum (pro rata), rising to £19,624.80 upon successful completion of probation.
Hours: Range of full-time permanent (day or waking night) and flexible bank opportunities available
Our client is a friendly, local and thriving charity with an excellent reputation for providing high quality services to children and adults with learning disabilities and their families, in North London.
They are looking for friendly, energetic people to promote and maintain the health and wellbeing of those they support; to empower them to make choices and help them build and maintain relationships with their family and friends.
As a Support Worker, you will provide support to children and/or adults with a range of mild, moderate and severe learning disabilities – this could be in their homes, at supported housing projects, at their Centre or out and about accessing exciting activities!
So if you are positive, flexible, have good communication skills, and a willingness to learn and develop new skills, Support Work may be just right for you!
They have a range of full-time and part-time permanent vacancies available. Previous experience in this role is not essential, as they are fully committed to staff development. As part of this, they will provide you with an in-depth induction, as well as ongoing training and support for you to learn everything you will need to be a great Support Worker!
BANK OPPORTUNITIES
£9.50 – £10 per hour, VARIABLE HOURS
They also offer Bank Support Work roles, which are ideally suited to people who are looking for flexibility and variety in their work. Bank hours will be optional and are not guaranteed, any hours accepted will be agreed on an ongoing basis. Hourly rates may also vary, depending on which projects you work on.
They are currently looking for a Bank Support Worker to join a team supporting two children to participate in activities every Saturday between 10:30am-1:30pm. This role involves supporting the service users during swimming sessions, so confident swimming abilities are essential for this role. If you are specifically interested in this role, please clearly indicate this on your application.
