HEART UK is passionate about preventing premature deaths caused by high cholesterol and cardiovascular disease.  We provide expert support, education and influence to patients, their families and also the health care professionals treating the patients.  We also lobby for better detection of those at risk.

Working closely with our Head of Communications and Policy, you will lead the delivery of our digital communication strategy and manage the production of communications materials for specific projects and programmes, such as the Ambassador Programme and Children & Young People.

Specifically, you will be looking after our soon-to-be-launched updated website, working with others across the team to ensure our content is up-to-date.  You will also engage with and grow HEART UK’s online followers coming up with innovative ways to communicate our core message.  As well as creating social media content, you will also be monitoring and responding to mentions or interactions.

You will need a marketing or communications qualifications and be able to demonstrate your experience of effectively using social media platforms in a work setting.  You should be fully familiar with the standard communications apps such as Mailchimp, Hootsuite, CMS, YouTube etc.  Ideally, we would also like you to have a background of working within the voluntary sector and experience of using Raisers Edge.

Interview process:
This will be a two-stage process with first interviews held on Wednesday 26th September.
We anticipate second interviews to be held on Monday 8th October.
