Director of Finance & Operations

Harris Hill are recruiting for a Director of Finance and Operations on a 6 month fixed Term Contract for this International Development Charity

The position will oversee the operational functions of the charity in Europe, providing administrative leadership and operational support and advice to the Europe Director.

You will lead on the implementation of financial controls and policies, managing the accounts payable function and monthly financial reconciliations and supporting global and local year-end and annual audit processes.

The position requires you to lead on annual budgeting in Europe and the preparation, monitoring and reconciliation of project and programme budgets.
You will liaise with external legal support; respond to legal queries, draft consultancy and vendor contracts as required, assess projects and programmes for liability and risk, and advise staff on legal and compliance issues.

A Qualified Accountant required with a minimum of 2 years' recent charity sector experience

This is an immediate start assignment, looking for someone to start week commencing the 3rd September
