Position: Mental Health Support Worker 
Location: Exmouth, Exeter & East Devon 
Job Type: 
Hours: 22.5 hours per week to include weekends 
Salary: £18,389 - £20,502 per annum dependant on experience (pro-rata to £11,033 - £12,301).

About the role: 

An exciting opportunity has arisen within our client's Mental Health Services in Exeter & East Devon for a Mental Health Support Worker. The services currently consist of St Andrew’s in Exmouth (6 Care Unit beds and 11 supported accommodation beds), Alternative to Care (A2C) in Exeter (4 supported accommodation beds within 1 community house) and a Floating Support Service across Exeter & East Devon. 

This role will predominantly be based at Bridge House in Exeter, however, you will, on occasion, assist with providing cover across all of our services, which may involve the occasional sleep-in shift. 

The successful candidates will be responsible for: 

- Effectively managing an assigned caseload of clients; contingent on needs, strengths, abilities and preferences of the clients of the service 
- Providing assessment, monitoring, support planning, linkage and advocacy for clients involved in the service 
- Possessing a clear understanding of the service delivery and resources available for those clients who experience mental health issues 

About you: 

Candidates will need a patient and calm professional manner and a fair and non-discriminatory, non-judgemental approach. Proven experience of working with clients with mental health difficulties and who are difficult to engage is essential, as are good I.C.T., administration and communication skills. 

Ability to work flexible hours to include weekends and to include occasional evening / sleep-in shifts will be required, as is the ability to travel effectively within the geographical location of East Devon. 

A Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Certificate will be required for these roles.
