About the role

We are currently recruiting for an Intelligence Analyst to support the delivery of information and intelligence about service performance and effectiveness through the collection, validation, analysis, interpretation and dissemination of data and other qualitative and quantitative information. The post is for a 12 month contract to cover an existing member of staff who is seconded to another team.

As an Intelligence Analyst for Achieving for Children, you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the development and implementation of Achieving for Children’s performance management systems, to ensure the organisation has the information and intelligence it needs to deliver relevant and responsive children’s services.
  • Lead on the analysis and evaluation of business processes and systems and make clear recommendations for improvement to maximise operational effectiveness, efficiency and productivity Contributing to the development the organisation’s central data repository to ensure that there is a complete and up-to-date suite of statutory and locally-determined performance indicators that support the management of children’s services, improvement planning, statutory reporting and contractual compliance.
  • Taking responsibility for data quality and validation, and manage the reporting of statutory performance indicators, locally determined performance indicators, and contractual compliance indicators.

About you

To be an Intelligence Analyst for AfC, you will be passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people as well as demonstrating the following points

  • Experience of delivering and supporting data and performance management systems that support the effective delivery of frontline services and achievement of better outcomes.
  • Experience of collecting, analysing, interpreting, disseminating and using data and business intelligence in the most effective and useable format.
  • Experience of working with managers from within the organisation and from partner agencies to interrogate data and performance information to develop intelligence about services.
  • Experience of working within a local authority or Children’s Services provider supporting Social Care, Early Help and Education Services.
