We’re Breast Cancer Now, the UK’s largest breast cancer charity – and we’re dedicated to funding research into this devastating disease. We believe that if we all act now, by 2050, everyone who develops breast cancer will live and live well.

The role

Digital is of huge importance to us because breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK and our digital marketing activity allows us to reach and talk to people with the disease and those affected or worried about it. It helps us recruit people to our cause, create advocacy, and make a difference to people’s lives through our life-saving research, awareness raising activity, and campaigning.

It’s an exciting time to be with us as we implement new ways of creating and planning digital content to be more relevant and exciting for our audiences, with digital marketing obviously playing a key part in the future growth and influence of our charity. This is your opportunity to join us in supporting in these aims.

You will be key to spreading our brand message and values across to a wider audience, and help increase support for our charity’s work.

Leading on our digital marketing activity across the charity, you will work closely with all teams to support their activity, share their objectives and drive incredible success across all our planned and responsive work. You will also encompass managing our email marketing (individual campaigns and ongoing journeys), Google and Bing Ads, evaluating campaigns and projects, making actionable recommendations, KPI setting, report writing and being an effective leader to ensure everyone here increases their understanding of how digital marketing can help us reach our charitable aims.

You will line manage our Email Marketing Officer and Digital Marketing Officer, supporting them in their development and the delivery of their work, which broadly covers all mass email communications, PPC activity and analysis and evaluation and tracking and tagging.

About you

You will be someone who lives all things digital, and is on top of current marketing practice and emerging technology. You will also be someone who has great appreciation and ideas about how digital can help increase brand awareness and levels of engagement and be able to demonstrate experience of day-to-day digital marketing management for a charity or brand.

You will have experience using a variety of tools to support your marketing work and the monitoring and reporting associated with that. We work closely with excellent agencies, so experience of working with and managing agencies to deliver effective campaigns is a must as well as a familiarity of working within brand, PR and communications. We run a lot of campaigns in-house, so hands on experience and the ability to teach and support others to deliver is also hugely important as well as being an organised and conscientious team player.
