Location: Flexible working across all our client's London offices, but predominantly in their Waterloo office
Contract: 12 Months Fixed Term / part-time (22.5 hours per week over 3 days)
Salary: £18,800 to £21,000 (Pro rata)

Our client, a charity, is looking for a part-time Communications & PR Assistant to join their busy Communications Team. Ideally you’ll have a minimum of two years experience in a communications role, preferably with some experience in the voluntary sector. As part of this role you'll support public relations and communications activities for established volunteering programmes in Barnet, Brent, Hounslow, Westminster and Kingston.

Although you’ll be working closely with the Volunteering Services Team, as part of the charity’s wider Communications Team, you’ll benefit from the guidance and support of that team and personal development opportunities including, communications training, seminars and professional membership of the Charity Comms network.

Your strong interpersonal skills and organised approach will enable you to work effectively with colleagues and external stakeholders to deliver communications action plans.

You’ll have experience of using social media in a professional environment and effectively using e-communications platforms such as Mail Chimp or SendinBlue.

You’ll be able to identify compelling personal stories and communicate them to the target audiences through a variety of mediums. You’ll produce communications material for digital and print, ensuring that the Groundwork and volunteering service brands are applied consistently on external and internal publicity materials. Experience of events organisation is also advantageous.

You’ll need to be process driven, a quick learner and able to work independently at times, planning your own workload in order to manage tight and sometimes competing deadlines.
