Business Development Manager (Membership/ Subscriptions) 

Our client is the voice of British farming. They lobby government and other stakeholders on behalf of their members, develop policy and provide a range of frontline services. 

Position: Membership Development Manager 
Location: Flexible with regards to base location, responsible for covering East Anglia and the South East 
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent 
Salary: circa £36,500 per annum plus Company car

Do you want to develop your sales and influencing skills within the Agriculture and Horticultural Sector and work for an organisation where their members are at the heart of everything they do? 

Working with our Regional teams you will analyse and advise on membership performance. You will develop and implement marketing initiatives to retain and recruit members. 

You will be able to motivate and influence others to deliver business growth and develop the client’s membership offer within East Anglia and the South East. 

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to work strategically, deal with pressure and conflicting demands and communicate effectively at all levels. 

About the role: 

Reporting to the National Network Manager, you will work closely with the Regional teams to ensure continual development and performance improvement, including the achievement of membership objectives. 

You will contribute to training and development programmes to improve recruitment and retention, therefore experience of delivering engaging presentations to a range of audiences is advantageous. 

You will develop and support our client's joint sales network that promotes its services at a local level. The ability to demonstrate an understanding of the client is desirable. You’ll be motivated by helping others to develop professionally and you’ll have a proven record of delivering results through others. 

The role requires travel across East Anglia and the South East including our regional offices in Petersfield and Newmarket and our Headquarters in Stoneleigh. 

You may have experience of the following: Membership Development Manager, Membership Development Officer, Membership Manager, Membership Officer, Head of Membership, Membership Recruitment Manager, Relationship Manager, Partnership Manager, Membership and Development Manager, Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Marketing Manager, Project Manager, etc.
