Careers Service Team Manager (Social Care)

Our client are one of the leading learning disability charities in the country, providing support for 3,000 people with a learning disability and employing around 3000 staff. Everything they do focuses on enabling the people they support live the best life possible. 

Position: Work Options Manager 
Location: Bradford and Yorkshire 
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent 
Hours: 37.5 hours per week 
Salary: £26,951 per annum

The Work Options Manager role is central to the delivery of high quality services and the development of employment outcomes for people who have Learning Disabilities in Bradford and surrounding localities in Yorkshire especially where they have a Project Search programme. 

This exciting new role involves the management of work options advisors and job coaches across Project Search sites and will focus on supporting this team to develop and improve employment options for the people who they support. Remote management of this team will be part of this role. The successful candidate will need to work flexibly as the role may involve daily travel and some occasional evening and weekend work. 

It will be important in this role to promote the best practice across the Yorkshire geographical region and the post holder will have a role in supporting the Area Manager and Divisional Director in influencing the organisations’ employment strategy moving forward. 

The role will also be the operational lead for building links with local employer networks and obtaining funding streams to support the extension and the follow on supported employment programme going forward. 

The job requires an individual with drive, enthusiasm and commitment. Someone with a ‘can do’ attitude who has the ability to look for creative solutions to meet people’s supported employment needs in a way that respects their individuality. 

As the Work Options Manager you will have detailed knowledge and understanding of the barriers faced by people they support in accessing employment and the range of models or approaches to address this. You will have experience of leading and managing a team to transform, deliver and measure success of supported employment programmes. 

You will have experience of managing stakeholders across a variety of projects with conflicting priorities, be comfortable with budgeting, data analysis and be able to present information using a variety of Microsoft Office applications.
