ABOUT THE ROLE

Everything we do at Breast Cancer Care is about supporting people affected by breast cancer. The Publishing Team Assistant’s role is crucial to the smooth running of one of our biggest services: patient information in both digital and traditional formats.

You’ll provide meticulous and efficient administrative and operational support to help ensure we create and produce high-quality, accurate and accessible patient information on schedule. You’ll also contribute to other services across the Clinical and Information Directorate.

Tasks include:

  • being the first point of contact for all publication queries
  • record-keeping on our customer database
  • statistics collection and trend analysis
  • commissioning and liaising with volunteer information reviewers, many of them senior healthcare professionals
  • administering and updating the subscription list for our free magazine Vita
  • creating and uploading digital versions of existing information

You’ll also be involved in helping us provide creative services to the rest of Breast Cancer Care, such as design, image creation and editorial work.

This is a varied role in a friendly team, and an interesting one for the right candidate. Training will be given in use of our specialist software.
