Support Worker / Care Worker (Nights) 

Supporting someone to get dressed, to helping them plan a family event. Join them and help them change lives. 

Our client is a national charity that’s been supporting people with learning disabilities since 1962. They put the people they support at the centre of everything they do and use their experience to work in partnership with them to provide personalised services to more than 2500 people. 

About the role: 

As a Support Worker you’ll be supporting adults with learning disabilities within your community. In this Support Worker role, everything you do will enable people to have choices about their own lives, creating flexible services that meet people’s needs and always looking for the best way of doing things. 

Waking Night Workers are required to remain awake throughout the night to support individuals with personal support needs as required. 

About you: 

You don’t need experience as a Support Worker or any special qualifications for this job; what matters most is your positive attitude to life and your desire to support people to live their own life with as much independence, choice, dignity and control as possible. It is helpful if you already have experience of learning disabilities, autism or dementia but this is by no means essential as you will be given a comprehensive induction, full training and support. 

A full UK / EU driving licence is preferable but not essential due to the rural nature of the area. 

Position: Waking Night Support Worker 
Location: Forest of Dean 
Hours: Various hours available 
Hourly rate - £7.83 aged 21 and over or £7.73 ages 18-20, both rising to £8.75 on successful completion of probation and rising again to £9.00 on successful completion of Health and Social Care Diploma/NVQ Level 2
