Rural Surveyor (Infrastructure) 

Our client is the voice of British farming, and their members are at the heart of what they do. On their behalf they lobby government and other stakeholders, develop policy and provide a range of frontline services. 

Position: Rural Surveyor 
Location: Stoneleigh, Warwickshire (Commutable from Coventry, Royal Leamington Spa, Nuneaton, Solihull, Rugby, Birmingham and surrounding areas) 
Job Type: Full Time, Fixed Term Contract (up to 2 years potential for extension) 
Salary: £33,428 negotiable on experience

About the role: 

Our client is looking for a Rural Surveyor to primarily support the Senior Rural Surveyor on our client’s work on infrastructure schemes including High Speed Rail, road & rail schemes and wind farm developments with onshore cables 

You will provide quality expert advice at a high standard to key stakeholders who include their members, staff, our client Officeholders, Directors, and Boards. The advice that you will give will relate to a variety of issues including compulsory purchase and compensation for large infrastructure schemes, and land value capture and valuation methods agricultural land for housing development. 

In addition you will deputise for the Senior Rural Surveyor on relevant groups, panels or bodies as and when required. 

You will represent our client, as directed, at conferences and other venues, and with the media. 

About you: 

Are you a conscientious and co-operative individual who is good with detail? 

Can you work with routine and yet still show a sense of urgency to get things done quickly? 

To be successful in this role you will have a logical, task orientated and an analytical approach to dealing with situations and be able to think through a problem by weighing the pros and cons. As a great communicator you will possess the ability to work well within a team. 

You will hold a degree in rural estate management, be qualified as a member of RICS and hold good knowledge of compulsory purchase, valuation matters and utility legislation. 

You may have experience of the following: Surveyor, Rural Surveyor, Infrastructure Surveyor, Building Surveyor, Quantity Surveyor, RICS, Estates Surveyor, etc.
