Location: Cambridge (Commutable from Cambridge North, Milton, Ely, Swavesy, Histon & Impington, Oakington, Fenstanton, St Ives, Cambridgeshire, Huntingdon, Newmarket, Saffron Walden, St Neots, Bedford, Hitchin, Stevenage, Bury St Edmunds and surrounding areas) 
Job Type: Full Time, 24 months Fixed Term Contract 
Hours: 35 hours per week 
Salary: £39,242 to £43,602 per annum plus benefits

About the role: 

Our client seeks a Senior Project Manager to join their Technology Business Relationship and Project Management teams. 

As Senior Project Manager: Technology, you will project manage key technology-based projects, applying professional principles, practices, and techniques to lead project teams (cross-functional) and control project schedule, cost, and performance risks to ensure satisfied customers. You will drive through a variety of software development, publishing, new product development and technology infrastructure projects, supporting the Project Manager Team Lead to ensure project completion and delivery. 

Through your relevant experience, you will work with their internal development team and external suppliers in a predominantly .Net environment to design, develop, maintain, monitor and report project plans, troubleshooting, or escalating issues and being responsible for managing risk and planning resources as appropriate. You will also make easily available complete, correct and easy to understand programme documentation and project documentation and form positive, productive relationships with suppliers and stakeholders and across departments. 

This full-time (35-hour week) 24-month contract role is conveniently based at the Cambridge Science Park office, with free onsite parking and close to the guided bus and Cambridge North train station. 

About you: 

- Able to demonstrate experience in a project management environment. Experience working across multiple projects and implementations at the same time and able to accurately choose the appropriate project management methodology for the task in hand 
- Demonstrates a sound understanding of their customers and their requirements; uses technical skills and experience to determine how they can help them achieve their goals 
- Required experience in implementing CRM and / or CMS systems 
- Ability to demonstrate experience in managing technical projects such as web development and system implementation 
- Effective negotiation and customer management skills to proactively meet their customers’ needs, delivers on agreed commitments and takes ownership for resolving issues quickly with a focus on the outcome for the business 
- Qualification in relevant project management processes, e.g. Agile and a sound knowledge of using project management tools such as Atlassian product suite, Basecamp, Wrike, TFS, MS Project and AtTask / Workfront. 
- Deadline orientated and goal-driven complimented with sensitivity to the high-quality standards and reputation management 
- Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to explain technical concepts equally to customers with a level of technical understanding and those without
