We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join our Legacy Marketing team and play a leading role in managing and developing the British Heart Foundation's (BHF) legacy marketing stream which aims to promote legacy giving to our external audiences.
You'll be managing multi-channel integrated campaigns using large scale budgets and also have responsibility for our legacy events programme, which aims to engage local communities in the work of the BHF and the importance of gifts in Wills to our lifesaving research.
This is a very exciting time for legacies and legacy marketing at the BHF. Our aim is to significantly increase the prominence of legacies both internally and externally in order to grow and protect this very important income stream which accounts for 50% of our total income.
About you
With proven experience of working in a fast-moving direct marketing / legacy marketing team, you'll have previous experience of prioritising and working on multiple projects concurrently with internal and external stakeholders. You'll be able to ensure these projects are delivered on time and within budget. You'll have extensive and demonstrable direct marketing experience, an IDM Diploma in direct marketing or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
The successful applicant will have strong interpersonal skills, able to develop solid working relationships with customers, external suppliers and internal departments. A self-starter, who motivates themselves and those around them, you'll be a good strategic thinker with an ability to set long and short term objectives, able to seize opportunities and find solutions.
You'll have a developed ability to use, manipulate and analyse data across a variety of media (especially direct mail, telemarketing and digital) and have previous experience of working with expenditure budgets of £1m+, including monitoring and reporting.
You'll be a proven leader who thrives on the opportunity to work in a fast paced and ambitious team.
