Campaigns Manager

Living Planet Centre Woking

circa £30,000 per annum

Woking Surrey GU21 4LL

While this role is advertised as full time, flexible working arrangements will be considered.

Campaign Manager – The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to help WWF-UK deliver our new strategy. We want you to work with courage, pace and passion to make further biodiversity loss socially, politically and economically unacceptable – and to ensure that nature starts to show signs of recovery by 2030.

This will involve engaging more people than ever before in order to inspire positive change amongst government, business and other influencers. Your remit will be to develop and deliver advocacy campaigns, bringing together policy, programmatic, research, digital, public and creative elements to achieve objectives. You will project manage campaigns, co-ordinating internal resources and external stakeholders as well as produce effectiveness reporting.

You will also build strong networks and relationships, and lead on the delivery of events that help influence advocacy targets. Important in this role will be the ability to identify key or underlying issues in complex situations as well as make recommendations.

Campaign Manager – Requirements

Experienced in advocacy campaigning, including analysis and planning, you will have played a leading role in delivering key campaign moments or objectives. You will be able to demonstrate your personal role in influencing political or business decision-making too.

You will have an understanding of the role of digital and public campaigning in achieving advocacy success as well as confidence in co-ordinating and facilitating groups of people to achieve a shared objective.

Highly organised, you will be good at balancing multiple requirements and can deliver under pressure. You will also have an eye for detail and exacting delivery standards coupled with excellent project management, relationship building and communication skills.

A team player, you are adept at overcoming obstacles and can demonstrate a passion for the natural world and WWF’s core mission.

Experience of international campaigns or campaigning in another country would be an advantage.

WWF believes in a future where people and nature thrive.

Best known as the world’s leading conservation body, we’ve seen first-hand how wildlife, the environment and human activity are all interlinked.

That’s why our passion for safeguarding the natural world has to be backed up by other environmental action – tackling the global threat of climate change (through our big global campaigns like Earth Hour) and helping people to change the way they live to ease pressure on natural resources.

WWF is at the heart of global activities in all these areas. We have teams of highly skilled professionals working with governments, businesses and communities here in the UK and around the world.

Campaign Manager – How to Apply
