This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career as part of the country’s most successful higher education fundraising team, and contribute to its current campaign – the largest and most ambitious in Europe, which has a goal of £3bn.
You will raise funds from the Foundations and Trusts sector for the University’s agreed philanthropic priorities, and manage the University’s relationships with major Trusts and Foundations from within a team portfolio.
To be successful in this role you will be an experienced development professional with a good knowledge of the major sources of philanthropic funding (individual, trust and corporate), and experience of securing high value gifts from trusts and foundations. A graduate or equivalent with outstanding verbal and written communication skills, you are able to identify opportunities to engage others in the goals of the University. You have proven abilities to work with individuals at all levels and to build lasting relationships with new and existing supporters. You are comfortable working both independently and as part of a team: a collaborative and flexible working style is essential.
