School Programme Officer
Our client is a youth social action charity which challenges 18 to 25-year-olds to tackle educational inequality through a year of full-time voluntary service. As mentors, tutors and role models in schools, they support pupils growing up in some of the most disadvantaged communities in the UK.
Position: School Partnership / Programme Officer
Location: London
Job Type: Permanent
Hours: Full Time and Part Time Available
Salary: £22,000 to £26,400 per annum pro rata dependant on experience
Benefits: A range of additional flexible benefits are also available that include up to 5% employer pension contribution, two paid volunteer days per year, Childcare vouchers, Interest-free travel and bike loans

About the role:
The School Programme Officer (known within the organisation as an Impact Officer IO) is based predominantly in schools and is the primary link between two schools and our client. The Impact Officer is the custodian of our client's culture in the schools and responsible for managing two teams of Volunteer Mentors as well as coordinating, monitoring and the evaluating all the activities that our client provides. The Impact Officer is the main communication link between all parties involved.
The Impact Officer plays a key role in the management, training and retention of Volunteer Mentors. They have pastoral oversight for the team and their relationships with those they come into contact with (children, parents, education professionals, funders and other stakeholders). Impact Officers also monitor and evaluate the progress of Volunteer Mentors throughout their service year.
About you:
The successful candidate will have a passion for education, children and young people and good experience of working in a school setting. You will have a sound understanding of school leadership priorities and an ability to represent our client in this context. You will also have strong leadership skills, able to connect and communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders.
Additionally, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills including experience of presenting and delivering training. The proven ability to prioritise work to meet tight deadlines delegate appropriately and apply problem solving skills effectively is also essential. You will also have good IT knowledge, preferably including Google Apps and Salesforce
