Job Details

Our client is a friendly, local and thriving charity with an excellent reputation for providing high quality support and services to people with learning disabilities and their families in North London.

They are now looking for a motivated and efficient person to manage a supported living project for 4 adults with learning disabilities, including high and complex needs. 

The role will include coordinating and providing excellent person centred care and support of service users, to enable tenants to live independently in their own home and be supported in all areas of day-to-day living.  

You will also oversee the development and implementation of care plans designed to provide meaningful choice and a range of activities and support to people with learning disabilities.

In addition, you will be responsible for encouraging a culture based on respect and dignity for those in need of care and support, providing supervision and clear management to a team of support workers as well as ensuring that the service meets legislative and organisational standards.  

The right candidate will also be able to demonstrate a track record in motivating, managing and developing staff, alongside a clear understanding of leadership responsibilities in social care and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience of supporting people with high and complex support needs would also be an advantage.

They are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about delivering excellent quality, has a positive attitude to managing a varied workload and a willingness to learn and develop new skills. In addition, the ideal candidate will also have the ability to work positively as part of a team and to instil a culture of continuous improvement, through dialogue with service users, their families and advocates.

They are dedicated to staff development and supervision and they will provide a detailed induction and on-going training and support.

Project Manager (Supported Living) – TWPM-0818

Salary:  £24,905.66 pro rata based on full time hours 

Hours: Part time, 18.5 hours per week (including occasional days, evenings and weekends.) Should candidates wish to take on additional hours, there are also hours available at a Support Worker rate, or at Senior Support Worker rate as and when projects become available.

Closing date: 9am Tuesday 28th August
