Research Institute for Disabled Consumers (RiDC) - Chief Executive Officer
Location: Central London (Caledonian Road)
Salary: c£60,000
The Research Institute for Disabled Consumers (RiDC) is a disability-led UK charity that exists to help disabled and older consumers lead an independent life.
RiDC is the UK consumer champion for disabled and older people. The charity is a leading expert in user-centred research involving disabled and older consumers.
RiDC has three main areas of work:
- Helping businesses and charities improve products and services for their disabled and older customers through business consultancy services
- Providing advice, information and user-reviews which help disabled and older people live independent lives
- Representing disabled and older consumers to decision makers and in the media
With 20–30 million people in RiDC’s potential beneficiary group, it truly is a “sleeping giant” in the charity and not for profit sector, with huge scope to achieve its targeted growth in the coming years, which the CEO will be key to driving.
The small but passionate, hard-working and dedicated staff team need someone who can support, enthuse, lead and inspire them to further success.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Significant experience of generating trading or consultancy income from businesses
- Experience of working at senior management team level, preferably in a commercial customer or marketing focused environment
- Excellent networking, stakeholder management and partnership working skills
