A great opportunity has arisen for a temporary Marketing and Communications Officer for a national charity based in London in order to plan, develop and implement agreed marketing and communications strategies for the organisation. This will be a temporary role (4-6 months) and could go permanent.
Start day: ASAP,
Key Responsibilities will include:
Working with colleagues to plan, develop and implement campaigns for courses and other programmes, within agreed timelines.
Managing and taking ownership of the organisation s social media channels; developing, planning and posting engaging and dynamic content on a daily basis as well as leading the delivery of social media content for promotional campaigns alongside colleagues.
Managing the organisation s website (Wordpress) Content Management System working alongside colleagues and external technical teams to update the website with engaging content on a regular basis.
Co-ordinating press and PR activities, often in collaboration with external PR agencies.
Engaging with the organisation s social media followers; responding to comments and enquiries within agreed time periods.
Preparing and supervising the production and delivery of all online and offline marketing collateral: emails, adverts, brochures, hand-outs, direct mail leaflets, promotional videos, photographs, films and multimedia programmes.
Writing and editing case studies, speeches, articles and annual reports.
Writing content for the blog and magazine.
Organising and attending events (often with other colleagues), exhibitions and open days.
Updating and managing the customer CRM database and providing analysis when required.
Supporting the senior marketing manager in the undertaking of market research.
Regular reporting on campaign success and ROI using a metrics-based approach.
Occasional presenting to colleagues and other stakeholders.
Assisting with any other administrative tasks as required.
Working on specific projects as and when required.
Covering reception duties as and when needed.
In order to apply you should have the following skills and experience:
Demonstrable experience within marketing and communications
Demonstrable experience in implementing digital marketing and communication strategies.
Experience of social media strategy implementation and growing social media channels to meet key objectives.
Experience of using website management tools (CMS) to update web pages.
The energy and enthusiasm to plan and implement campaigns.
First class written skills particularly in writing for the web and social media and tailoring different messages to different audiences.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Good IT skills, especially Microsoft Office.
Strong, confident presentation skills.
Capable in photography, videography and multimedia. HTML knowledge a bonus.
A can do mentality.
Ability to prioritise and plan effectively.
Creativity in ideas and practice.
Manage external agencies and internal stakeholders.
