Hours: Part-time (8.30am - 2.30pm minus 30 minutes break)

About the role

As Cook/lunch cover support for Achieving for Children, you will be responsible for:

  • To prepare, cook and serve meals for nursery children aged 3 months to 4years, and to supervise children within the nursery to cover staff lunch breaks.
  • Planning, preparing and serving appropriate menus within the budget
  • Maintaining the health and safety and a hygienic kitchen environment in accordance with relevant regulations
  • To provide lunchtime cover for childcare staff to support effective learning, welfare and development of the children.

About you

To be Cook/lunch cover support for AFC, you will be passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people as well as demonstrating the following points:

• Experience of cooking for large numbers in a professional capacity 
• of nutrition to promote a balanced, healthy diet for all children including those with specialised dietary needs
• Be a positive role model for the children attending the nursery in your capacity as and whilst supervising the children
