Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Then this is a great opportunity to join a leading children’s charity, generating high profile and positive PR to raise money to help seriously ill children. 

They are looking for a dynamic Press Officer to be part of a busy and ambitious Communications team. The role will take a lead in developing new relationships in print, digital and broadcast media and will work to create new and innovative ways to generate stories and deliver forward-thinking media and communications coverage for the charity. 

The Communications team is a high achieving, fast-paced team. Reporting to a Senior Press Officer, the Press Officer is part of a team of six, comprising of a four-strong press office function, a Family and Hospital Liaison Manager and Internal Comms Manager. 

About you: 

- Proven experience in delivering high profile and effective proactive PR campaigns, and of responding to reactive media enquiries 
- In-depth knowledge of PR strategy and tactics 
- Experience of working with senior external stakeholders or donors 
- Experience in using social media to engage key stakeholders 
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
- The ideal candidate will also have experience of fundraising PR particularly of high value corporate partnerships and red-carpet special events
