The organisation provides a range of integrated services.

Position: Employment Advisor - Work Routes
Location: Tower Hamlets, East London
Job Type: Full Time, Fixed Term Contract until 21 December 2019
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £25,000 to 26,000 per annum
Benefits: 27 days plus 3 days for Christmas plus Bank Holidays; all staff get an extra day off for their birthday; Pension.

About the role:

The role requires a passionate, enthusiastic and driven individual to engage people onto the Organisation Centre’s employment focused programmes. They are looking for an Advisor with the desire to help people will complex barriers into employment. They are looking for someone who has the experience of working with all ages with the focus and experience of working with people over the age of 50.

In this role you will be responsible for the overall coordination, planning, implementation and delivery of an employment focused programme. Using a client focused model you will work in accordance to set targets to place clients into sustainable employment (13 and 26 weeks) providing quality careers information, advice and guidance.

About you:

The successful candidate will have Information Advice and Guidance Level 3 (IAG L3) and will be willing to work towards Careers Information Advice and Guidance Level 4 (CIAG L4). You will be target driven with proven record of achieving KPI’s. Proven experience of supporting people into sustained employment (13 and 26 weeks) is also essential.

Additionally, you will have experience of supporting people from complex backgrounds, for example Special Educational Needs (SEN), Leaving Care Team or similar. The ability to engage with clients over the age of 50 from a variety of background and at different levels is also essential, as is the ability to understand clients barriers to employment.

You will have a good understanding on the local labour market landscape and excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. You will have excellent IT skills, that include Outlook and the ability to use database and management information systems and will be competent to collate and check compliance paperwork. Experience of using Orion database would be beneficial, as would good links with local partners.

You may have experience of the following: Employment Advisor, Employment Adviser, Recruitment, Sustainable Employment, Work Placements, Recruitment Coordinator, Employer Engagement, PTLLS, Charity, Charities, Third Sector, Not for Profit, NFP etc.
