The Role
We’re looking for a CCAB qualified accountant who is passionate about the charity sector to deliver robust financial management within the Remembrance & Marketing and Membership & Volunteers directorates at the Royal British Legion.
Remembrance & Marketing (annual budget of c. £11.5m) - responsible for championing Remembrance and supporting Remembrance services and events across the UK, including the Festival of Remembrance at the Royal Albert Hall and the Cenotaph march-past by veterans on Whitehall, as well as providing Marketing, Brand, Digital and PR services across the organisation.
Membership & Volunteers (annual budget of c. £2.5m) – supports our 250,000 strong Membership community, and 120,000 volunteers who give their time and energy to collect for the Poppy Appeal, organise fundraising events and offer advice and information at our Pop In Centres.
You’ll be an effective communicator with the ability to build strong relationships, and have a strong focus on customer service, planning and problem solving. You will have a strong track record of providing high quality reporting and analysis that supports effective decision-making, and be experienced in budgeting, forecasting and offering commercial support.
The successful candidate will be a key member of the Financial Planning & Analysis team.
