We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Research Advisor to join our Research team and play an active role in implementing the BHF's research strategy.

You'll play a key role throughout the pre-award evaluation and post-award monitoring of research projects that fall under the remit of our Translational Awards scheme, providing expert scientific and commercial knowledge as well as manage the organisation and delivery of constructive peer review and applicant feedback.

You'll also have a lead role in managing the BHF-funded intellectual property (IP) portfolio and the BHF consent process for all forms of IP exploitation, in liaison with our Legal team and external partners such as staff at university technology transfer offices and where appropriate commercial organisations.

About you

With a PhD or Masters degree in bioscience and knowledge of challenges and opportunities in biomedical research translation, you will have clear knowledge of drug and/or technology development processes from bench to bedside and an understanding of intellectual property and commercial exploitation

You'll have experience in life science R&D, technology transfer and/or investment in an academic or commercial setting and have excellent communication and team building skills able to develop strong working relationships with key internal and external colleagues.

You will serve as an ambassador for the BHF and its research achievements, promoting the BHF and its research funding schemes.
