Job Details

Fixed-term contract for 12 months

Unicef ensures more of the world’s children are vaccinated, educated and protected than any other organisation. We have done more to influence laws and policies to help protect children than anyone else. We get things done. And we’re not going to stop until the world is a safe place for all our children.

Unicef UK has been working in sport for over 15 years. We believe we are the leading UK charity working in, around and through sport to achieve positive change for children. The Sports Hub develops and facilitates partnerships in sport that cut across fundraising, communications, advocacy and programmes, and works strategically across Unicef UK to leverage our experience and networks in support of Unicef internationally, with global opportunities.

We are currently seeking to recruit a Sports Partnerships Specialist to provide cover while the current postholder undertakes a temporary assignment in a different role.
In this role, you will support the growth of Unicef UK’s work in sport, by leading on the establishment and development of partnerships within sport. You will have the opportunity to use your industry knowledge and contacts to generate new opportunities of working with the sports industry, and you will seek to unlock additional income and awareness for Unicef’s work by leveraging existing UK or international partnerships in new and valuable ways.

To succeed, you will have a good knowledge of the sports industry and will have built a strong network of contacts in this area. You will have a track record of securing new business partnerships, and you will excel at engaging and influencing external parties at a senior level – particularly in the development of new partnerships and activities.

This role offers the opportunity to use your knowledge and experience in sports to bring about change for children around the world.

Act now and visit www.unicef.org.uk/jobs to apply online.

Closing date: 5pm, Tuesday 28 August 2018. Interview date: Monday 10 September 2018.

This role is currently based in Farringdon. From late August 2018, Unicef UK will relocate to Stratford (zone 2).  Our new offices will be close to the new Crossrail station and the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Stratford is also served by the Jubilee and Central Lines, DLR, London Overground, TFL Rail and National Rail services.

We welcome applications from a diverse range of people, respecting and drawing on different perspectives, skills, experience and knowledge.

The successful candidate will be required to apply for a criminal records check. A criminal record will not necessarily bar you from working with us. This will depend on the nature of the role and the circumstances of your offences.

We only accept online applications as this saves us money, making more funds available for us to help ensure children’s rights.

If you require support in completing the online form or an application form in an alternative format, please contact Supporter Care on 0300 330 5580 during office hours.

If you do not hear from us within 14 days of the closing date, please assume your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. Please note that we only provide feedback to shortlisted candidates.
