 Administrator (Volunteers) 

Our client is a national charity that supports those affected by imprisonment, and their children and families.

Position: Volunteer Administrator
Location: HMP Bullingdon (commutable from Bicester, Oxford and surrounding area)
Job Type: Part Time, Permanent
Hours: 30 hours per week
Salary: £15,200 (FTE £19,000)

About the role:

Working as a member of their team across prisons and community services in the South East you will support the recruitment, coordination and management of volunteers and student placements.

You will be the key contact for volunteer opportunities across the region, guiding site managers in best practice with regards to recruitment, training, record keeping and supervision of volunteers. To work closely with their services staff to ensure that there are a supply of volunteers across a number of roles in order to support service delivery. To provide operational and administrative support to volunteer led services in the region, including HMPPS Family Services, CFO3 and CRC mentoring services.

The successful post holder will have the option to work from home with the expectation to travel across the region to fulfil the proper duties of the role.

About you:

You will have knowledge of good practise in volunteer management, a good understanding of data protection, safeguarding and confidentiality. You will be organised with a methodical approach with the ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal.

This post is subject to a 6 month probationary period, verification of identity and proven right to work in the UK, satisfactory references from previous employers covering a 3 year period, declaration of any unspent criminal convictions (and where appropriate a satisfactory risk assessment), Prison Vetting and a Disclosure and Barring Service enhanced check. Please note that being bankrupt or having County Court Judgements may affect your ability to be successfully vetted to work in a prison.
