Senior Domiciliary Care Manager

Our client is a charity set in a 68-acre parkland campus near Much Hadham, Bishops Stortford Hertfordshire, providing registered residential supported living and respite care services, with nursing support for vulnerable people of all ages including severe epilepsy, learning disabilities and associated neurological disorders. The Centre comprises of a College, Domiciliary Care Agency, Adult Services and a School / Children’s home and was established over 100 years ago. Our client's Domiciliary Care Agency offers care and support within supported living accommodation for College Learners, ages between 18 – 25 who live on their campus near Much Hadham and who are on a three-year Independence Programme. They also provide a supported living service for adults from the age of 18 years in their flats in Bishops Stortford. All their adults and learners have learning disabilities and other complex health needs. The organisation provides care and support on a 24hour / 52-week basis.

Position: Senior Domiciliary Care Manager
Location: Perry Green, Much Hadham & Bishops Stortford
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Normal working times are 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday with working one weekend in four. However, there will be times when you may be required to work a shift pattern (07:15 to 14:45 or 14:15 to 21:45)
Salary: £34,802 to £38,408 per annum dependent on experience

About the role:

You will be reporting directly to the Registered Care Manager and working alongside two Domiciliary Care Managers delivering a high standard of care practice.

With strong leadership skills and commitment, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the bungalows / flats. Your role will be to supervise a dedicated team of staff who assist students and residents by providing care and encouragement to carry out their learning plans. Their aim is to enable all individuals to overcome barriers to learning, and to develop the skills they need to live as independently as possible.

As a member of the College / Domiciliary Care Management team you will contribute to the development and implementation of the College / Domiciliary care development plan and quality assurance framework.

About you:

- Experience of working with people with learning difficulties in a care setting
- Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care
- Agreement to undertake level 5 QCF Diploma in Leadership for H&S Care
- A proven track record within a registered residential setting
- Experience of managing and implementing person centred plans
- An ability to lead, motivate and support a dedicated care staff team
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and CQC registration requirements
