Our client, a leading charity for young women, is currently looking to recruit a Data Protection Lead. This is a temporary role, lasting for up to three months.

You will sit in the Planning and Performance Team, working to ensure that the charity's data protection systems are compliant with legislation and follow best practice. You will also ensure that volunteers are supported in compliance with the data protection policy.

Main duties will include:
- ensuring that up to date legislation is integrated into the business
- monitoring data protection compliance
- ensuring that data protection policies are updated and legally complaint
- identifying areas that may be at risk of a data breach and addressing these areas
- being the first point of contact for staff and volunteer enquiries regarding data protection
- establish and present training on data protection for members of staff

The candidates who are shortlisted for this role will have strong knowledge of the Data Protection Act, information risk and CRM systems. They will also be experienced in working in a data protection advisory environment and have delivered high quality outcomes. The ideal candidate will be experienced is risk analysis and risk management and have strong knowledge of information security practice and principles.
